Mission Statement

My award-winning Major obstacle course returns to Eridge Park this Spring, with a re-recce’d and revamped route.

My troops and I have been strategically planning our operations to make our courses more accessible than ever so as we return to Eridge my troops have designed a shorter 5 mile route. Since being awarded ‘Best Event Series for Beginners’ in the 2016 Mudstacle Awards, I have continued to ensure each of my events are designed with all fitness levels in mind.

Now I’m looking for new recruits who are keen to try out one of my mud runs for the first time, or grab their friends and deploy as a team. The Southern Siege is suitable for anyone to take to the battlefield. Having marched all recruits to the start line and set you off along the course, my 40 British Military Fitness ‘troops’ will take over to cajole you on your way with their unique brand of expertise and enthusiasm. Complete the route and cross beneath the finish arch for the usual chance to snap a selfie with me once your muddy mission has been accomplished – with a splendid medal and finishers t-shirt as proof!

Major out!

Recruit your team

If you’re running with battle buddies (2+), make sure you’ve created a team that everyone has joined and you’ve all selected the same preferred start time in order to run together. This is how specific start times will be allocated so teams run together.

What to expect on the day

– Get eyes on the yellow event signage to the car park
– Sort your admin and have your ticket prepped (printed/on phone) to receive your race bib at the Barracks
– Don’t dilly dally after the run – get your wet clothes off and dry kit on! You can drop your clothes at the Kit Stores in the Major’s Barracks ready.
– Bring cold hard cash if you want some scoff or something to wet your whistle

– Mission Brief: You’ll receive your mission brief via email (carrier pigeons are too unreliable these days) T-minus 2 weeks prior to battle and your final orders with the time you march to the frontline T-minus 1 week prior to battle.
– Changing Personal Details: To change any details on your enlistment form, including wave time, visit the FAQ page for full instruction (Race Pack and Amendments section)
– Unable to Run: Conscription isn’t compulsory so if you can no longer attend, you can transfer your place to someone else to enjoy the muddy madness. Visit the FAQ page for full instruction (Refunds and Transfers section)
